Unless otherwise noted, all software here is free and open source. Most have versions to all three primary operating systems (Windows 32bit, Mac OSX, Linux) Download links are for most standard Windows versions. If possible I link to a 32-bit installer. These are the versions to be put on the CD-ROM. Mac and Linux users should find executables downloadable through the main link cited for each package.
Firefox extensions are listed as 'link only' These are small files and they use a non-standard installation technique. These extensions are most easily installed by navigating to the site and clicking the 'install now' button. They also tend to change versions very quickly. For these reasons, we will not put extensions directly on the CD-ROM, but provide links to them. All firefox extensions are multi-platform (except HTML Validator. See the web site on that software for details.)
